SEMINARIO

The seminar “Housing Regeneration in Europe. An Opportunity for Architecture and Architects” is inspired by the increasing number of interesting projects and architectural practices dealing with spatial, typological and technical innovation connected to the regeneration of collective residential buildings and neighborhoods all over Europe. This theme combines simultaneously many different issues: the participation or the relocation of the inhabitants, the typological innovation in relation to contemporary practices, the work on the envelope and the image of the building, the effects that these projects are able to produce at the urban scale, especially in peripheral urban and metropolitan areas.
The seminar is aimed at generating a fruitful debate among professionals, researchers and students, discussing relevant experiences and approaches that are producing new tools, new solutions and new references, implementing our common disciplinary knowledge.

Speakers:
Anne-Cécile Comar, Philippe Croisier (Atelier du Pont, FR); Štefan Polakovič, Lukáš Kordík (Gut Gut, SK); Arjan Gooijer (Van Schagen Architecten, NL); Pascal Philippe Müller (Müller Sigrist Architekten, CH);

Discussant:
Massimo Bricocoli, Stefano Guidarini,
Simona Pierini, Gennaro Postiglione

Seminar coordinated by:
Elena Fontanella (PeriFrag research line)
Fabio Lepratto (ForDwell research line)

The seminar is part of Milano ARCHWEEK program
