RESEARCH SEMINAR SERIES

The European Capital of Culture is one of the key cultural policy programs of the European Commision and has become an important tool for small to medium sized cities across Europe for urban regeneration, cultural promotion and establishing new identities for cities. The seminar series brings together international experts to discuss the diverse experiences of European Capitals of Culture in recent years. The series will in particular address the fragility of heritage-rich cities in hosting such events as well as the threats and opportunities they present.
