Infrastructure and equipment

In spring 2018, we started a cross-departmental process across the 5+1 laboratories of the department and the research groups involved in the project.

The challenge was to systemise existing resources, to complete and update them, and establish which new equipment needed to be purchased.

The first equipment list outlines the planned purchases over several years: in the first year is €286,571, two items of equipment worth more than €40,000 have been included in the University’s two-year purchasing plan and are being put out to tender in the coming months.

A second list outlining equipment needs gathered by research fellows (hardware, software, databases, photographic and document storage tools), discussed and assessed with department technicians was decided in the CdD of 14 March 2019.
